Jack and Kate - Heaven Forbid

This Jack and Kate music video (from the TV show Lost) was originally created by the hardcore Jater, AEweiss, who can often be found frequenting the Lost section of fanforum.net and lost-forum.com.

His choice of song, being Heaven Forbid from the Fray, as well as his spectacular and meaningful arrangement of the video was perhaps one of the best efforts I've seen to wordlessly put the parallels and patterns behind Jack and Kate's connection into a music video.

In fact, I liked it so much, that I decided to rebuild and remaster his video in full HD 1080p, using Adobe Premiere CS4.  Like most fan-made videos, the original used poor quality internet-downloaded episodes with Sony Vegas.  Though Sony Vegas has an impressive array of preset effects to use, it does not offer an interface I find beneficial to creating works of technical excellence...artistic, sure...but not technical.

Currently I am not releasing a 1080p version because I do not yet have access to 1080p source material for season 5 footage.  I will have access to that this December, at which time I'll rerelease the video.  :)

Help Note:

There are two formats I'm releasing this in, WMV and MPEG2.  The MPEG2 is higher bitrate and higher quality than the WMV, however not everyone will notice the difference.  I'd personally recommend getting the larger MPEG2 version, but some may not have computers able to render MPEG2 data fast enough.

If you find you are unable to play the MPEG2 or WMV version in Windows Media Player, I'd recommend getting VideoLan and installing it.  Then play the video with that program.  It plays almost anything.  :)
